The client update process is executed after a successful VPN connection is established. This vulnerability exists because improper permissions are assigned to a temporary directory that is created during the update process. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by abusing a specific function of the Windows installer process. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute code with SYSTEM privileges. ### POC #### Reference - https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-ac-csc-privesc-wx4U4Kw #### Github - https://github.com/DarkFunct/CVE_Exploits - https://github.com/Mr-xn/Penetration_Testing_POC - https://github.com/Wh04m1001/CVE-2023-20178 - https://github.com/XalfiE/CVE-2023-20178_ - https://github.com/aneasystone/github-trending - https://github.com/em1ga3l/cve-msrc-extractor - https://github.com/johe123qwe/github-trending - https://github.com/lions2012/Penetration_Testing_POC - https://github.com/nomi-sec/PoC-in-GitHub - https://github.com/xct/CVE-2024-27460
