### [CVE-2019-15847](https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2019-15847) ![](https://img.shields.io/static/v1?label=Product&message=n%2Fa&color=blue) ![](https://img.shields.io/static/v1?label=Version&message=n%2Fa&color=blue) ![](https://img.shields.io/static/v1?label=Vulnerability&message=n%2Fa&color=brighgreen) ### Description The POWER9 backend in GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) before version 10 could optimize multiple calls of the __builtin_darn intrinsic into a single call, thus reducing the entropy of the random number generator. This occurred because a volatile operation was not specified. For example, within a single execution of a program, the output of every __builtin_darn() call may be the same. ### POC #### Reference No PoCs from references. #### Github - https://github.com/ARPSyndicate/cvemon - https://github.com/Azure/publish-security-assessments - https://github.com/PajakAlexandre/wik-dps-tp02 - https://github.com/actions-marketplace-validations/Azure_publish-security-assessments - https://github.com/garethr/snykout
